Hey, guys! Dice Rollen with a list of the most haunted places in the US. For a list like this it’s very difficult to narrow it down to just ten with there being so many paranormally active places all over the world. But I’ve provided you guys with the most haunted sights documented in the states. So without further ado, this is my top ten list of some of the most haunted places in America.

The Winchester Mystery House
This maze-like house is located in San Jose, California & was built by Sarah Winchester in an effort to confuse the ghosts of the victims of her husband’s guns. It was constantly under construction until her death 30 years later. Now the staircases leading to nowhere & doors opening to a sheer drop from stories up are home to several ghosts.

The Villlisca Ax Murder House
The house is known for one of Villisca, Iowa’s most gruesome events. On June 13, 1912 the family of six plus two girls were murdered. Visitors to the house have reported seeing & hearing small children crying as well as other paranormal phenomenon.

The Devil’s School
This school located in Jacksonville, Florida is the stuff of many students’ nightmares. Several truly horrifying things have been said to have happened in the building. Such as several students & faculty members being killed due to a furnace explosion, a principle had been rumored to have been a cannibal & would kill & eat those sent to his office after storing them in his closet. And lastly, a janitor went insane & slaughtered many students. Even though the help of priests had been called for no one would work there which caused the school to become abandoned.

The Whaley House
Located in San Diego, California most of the family who had originally lived in the house had died of an illness of suicide. It’s been called ‘The Most Haunted House in America’ due to visitors seeing apparitions of the previous residence or even hearing the footsteps of their children in the halls. Some of the spirits reported have been a young girl who had been accidentally hanged, a Yankee who had been clubbed to death & the red haired daughter of the Whaleys.

The Queen Mary
Docked in Long Beach, California this ship has served as a luxury ocean liner & a hotel. Every part of this ship is said to be haunted, however the engine room is reported to be the most haunted area. What probably attributes to this is the fact the a 17 year old sailor had been crushed to death there while trying to escape a fire. Other spirits who have been seen onboard are a lady in white, a screaming sailor & several children including a girl who was suppose to have broken her neck in a pool accident.

The Stanley Hotel
Located right here, in Colorado in Estes Park. The hotel is not only haunted by many ghosts but has also been the inspiration for the classic horror book & movie The Shining. The ghosts of Freelan Stanley himself as well as his wife, Flora have been known to appear to greet guests. Flora has also been heard playing her piano. Other apparitions include The Earl of Dunraven, the housekeeper Elizabeth Wilson & many different children who play through the halls.

The Myrtles Plantation
There are several different areas in Louisiana that could easily have made this list, but this plantation in St. Francisville is at the top of that particular list. It’s believed that at least 10 murders were committed on the property. Many of the ghosts that will appear are of the slaves who worked there. The place is now a bed & breakfast, because who wouldn’t want to spend the night there?

Waverly Hills Sanatorium
This sanatorium is located in Louisville, Kentucky & was known to be the place for treatment for tuberculosis patients. It’s believed that as many as 63,000 people died in the building. However the reasons for the deaths are a toss up between the common disease of the time or the mistreatment & experiments performed on the patients.

Eastern State Penitentiary
Located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania this prison had approximately 1,700 prisoners filling it’s cells. One such prisoner being Al Capone & even he wasn’t immune to the paranormal that haunts it’s walls. Aside from Capone’s murder victim other activity that has been reported includes shadowy figures in cellblocks & the guard tower, cackling & faces that appear in other cellblocks.

Devil’s Den
It often goes without question that Gettyburg, Pennsylvania is considerably haunted. Certainly because it hosted one of the most gruesome battles of the Civil War. With almost 8,000 soldiers killed & even more severely wounded, trauma like that will certainly leave an imprint. One specific place, however, is known as Devil’s Den. Visitors have reported many different kinds of activity such as cameras not working properly, the sounds of gunshots & canon fire, screaming & even seeing the ghosts of soldiers still caught up a battle for their lives.
